Care of Souls

In Waves.

Tears pass, euphoria passes, both come in waves – and whether life closes down with a child is a story parents tell themselves.

In Waves

Two days after crying in the shower over a forgotten phone charger – her words, and the whole story is on her channel – Bella sat down to write the other side. Not to take the hard posts back: “I don't want this channel to be negative – I want it honest.” That sentence could hang over this whole blog.

Two claims hide under the jokes. First: moods don't need fixing – tiredness and euphoria alike are waves, the same waves that rolled through life before motherhood, and The Universal Principle of Balance is about exactly that swing between poles. Second, sharper: “with a child there's no life” is not a fact but a sentence some parents lock themselves in with. The cage is the words, not the child.

The rest is a joker card, two flights, and a cat that will never forgive them. Enjoy it.

Had a cry, had a poop, moved on.

Actually, it seems to me that life before motherhood and life during it are very much alike. Nobody is in a good mood always. Before motherhood there are also moments when you're tired, you want to cry, something's gotten to you and you simply have no strength. And mostly it's an emotion in the moment. Just like when a wave of absolute euphoria washes over you. Almost all our emotions come in waves. But I don't want this channel to be negative – I want it honest.
So today I'd like to write about the other side of motherhood 🥰

I won't write that children are happiness, you know that anyway🤭 But also: a child is a joker card. Need the toilet and it's locked? With a child they'll open it. Long line? With a child they'll let you through😂 There's a whiff of the “I'm-a-mom!” type here, I won't argue, but it depends how you play it)

Two flights with a five-month-old daughter and a cat. You get through all the checks faster, many wave you ahead, and you go through the business lane. The flight itself was wild fun for her – which you can't say about the cat; for him, I think, it's trauma for life🤦🏽‍♀️

And I often heard that with a child there's no life – lies) I started going out with Sara when she turned one month) Restaurants, shopping, doctors, walks, visiting girlfriends – easy. By taxi and by train. Here, I think, it depends on the parents: some lock themselves in with the words “I have a child now”. And some show the child social life right away)))

Thank you for reading.

If her words reached somewhere mine don't – good. That's what this blog is for. Take what fits and leave the rest.
