Good or Bad?

Nature has no labels – it has rhythms, cycles, chains, and balance.

Good or Bad?

A tiger shark crosses hundreds of kilometers to arrive exactly when the sea turtles hatch. No calendar, no reminder – instinct, memory, cycle. Bella got hooked on animal documentaries, and they handed her a question we usually answer too fast: was the shark bad?

The Universal Principle of Balance stands on the same ground: nature seeks its equilibrium value-free – rhythms, cycles, chains – and judgment is something we add on top. Bella walks that thought all the way into the hard rooms, death included, and holds it the way everything here is held: with open hands. What we call “bad” is mostly what hurts – and after it, almost always, something new.

Read it before the next label goes up. Her cat, for the record, is still allowed on the bed.

⚖️ Good or bad?

We're used to dividing everything into “good” and “bad.”
Not only things – but people, actions, events, choices.
We hang the label very quickly. But at the scale of the universe, in the chain of all living beings,
there is no bad and good.
Everything happens – for something.

Yes, I know how banal that sounds.
Even absurd – when truly heavy things happen.
But it's not quite so.

I've gotten hooked on documentaries about animals. And you know, they show astonishingly well how unique and precisely arranged our world is.

In the Bahamas and off the coast of Costa Rica,
tiger sharks arrive in a particular season –
exactly when the sea turtles hatch en masse.
They can cross hundreds of kilometers to be in the right place at the right time.
No calendar. No reminder.
Only instinct, memory, cycle.

And so a little turtle hatches, runs for the water –
and a shark eats it.
“Bad shark,” right?
Maybe we should put her in prison?

Or take my cat.
Every night he sleeps curled up with me, purring, affectionate.
And by day he brings home a bird one time, a squirrel the next. Is he “bad”?

Of course not.
He simply lives as he can. As he feels. As he's made.

Nature has no labels.
It has rhythms, cycles, chains, balance.

Yes, we are humans.
We have speech, feelings, awareness.
But even in our lives,
everything we call “bad” –
is merely painful, unfamiliar, uncomfortable.

Death? We call it bad
because it hurts us.
But the soul isn't hurt.
It leaves. It returns.
Everything is part of something greater.

And the smaller things we file under “bad” –
a breakup, a lost job, a loss…
If you look closely,
almost always something new comes after that “bad.”

Maybe it's all not so “bad” after all?
