Our Tomorrow.

The mark is real – and the responsibility for our tomorrow lies with no one but us.

Bella starts with fairness, not accusation: her generation was raised by people surviving the 90s, who were themselves raised harder still – no therapists, no “boundaries,” soup down the collar in kindergarten. Everyone got their portion of wounds from the old ways. That, she says plainly, is a fact.

Then comes the fork that gives this post its spine: you can spend a life seated in that fact, passing responsibility and blaming everyone around – or accept that yes, the mark remains, and take your own life in hand. That's acceptance the way this site means it – never resignation, but the soil change grows in. A Place to Go walks the same release: judgment and limitation set down, freedom stepped into.

Her last sentence is eleven words and carries everything. Read it standing up.

🌸 Passing on responsibility

I'm a child born in the 90s. Generation Y. We were raised as best they could – because they didn't know how to do it “right,” because the rules were different, because in the 90s everyone survived as best they could. There was no time or possibility to sit with a latte and see a psychologist. Those were the times.

Our parents were raised harder still, stricter still – also without any “psychologists” or “boundaries.” If in my mom's childhood a kindergarten teacher could pour soup down your collar or hit your hands with a ruler, today they wouldn't just be fired for that – they'd be sued.

Times change. And with them, upbringing changes, and whole generations. But there is one important thought: we all received our portion of wounds from the old ways and old views. That is a fact.

And from there we have a choice:
– to sit in place all our lives, passing on responsibility and blaming everyone around for our wounds, justifying our failures and misfortunes with them;
– or to accept that yes – the mark remains, but now we ourselves can take up our life and change it the way we want.

The responsibility for our “tomorrow” lies on no one but us.

If her words reached somewhere mine don't – good. That's what this blog is for. Take what fits and leave the rest.
