City or Forest.

Spiritual work and ordinary life are not opposites – they are parts of one way.

City or Forest

There's a costume for being “spiritual”: neutral clothes, no bars, no noisy friends, ideally a hut in the woods. Bella carried that image for years – until she noticed it's just one more label, with glossy pseudo-retreats selling it back to us, cocktails included.

Her conclusion could stand over this whole site: spiritual work and ordinary life are not opposites – they are parts of one way. A Place to Go says it from the channeled side: the place you're looking for isn't a distant heaven. It's available now, in this breath – in the city, in the forest, anywhere.

So no, you don't have to move to the woods. You just have to stay in contact with yourself. She says it better.

🌸 Spiritual work and ordinary life

I always thought there was a certain image of a person who does spiritual work.
They're supposed to look a particular way:
wear neutral clothes, stay off social media, not go to bars, not travel to ordinary places, live as a hermit somewhere in the woods and never gather noisy company.

Especially if you open the banned networks – they're full of identical videos: either “former party people” who suddenly, sharply “awakened,” or pretty pseudo-retreats with cocktails on the beach.
But in reality it's nothing like that.
Spiritual work can and should be combined with ordinary life.
They aren't opposites – they're parts of one way.

Spiritual practices help you:
slow down, clear out, exhale,
come back to yourself – not by running from the world, but by staying in it.

Yes, real retreats exist.
But people don't go there with phones and wine glasses.
They go there to rest from the outside noise, to sink into practice, to listen to the silence.
And such places are hard to find.
As hard as finding a real shaman, mentor, or guide. You won't see them in ads. They don't shout about themselves.

In the tribes of old everything was clear:
this one – a warrior, this one – a shaman, this one – cooks the food.
Everyone had their distinct role. That's how people survived.

But the world is different now.
And hanging labels is no longer needed.

You can be a spiritual person – and still go to cafés, laugh with friends,
fly on planes, dance in the kitchen, wear bright dresses, love life.

Spirituality is not a form. It's content.
And that's what matters most:
not to look spiritual, but to live in contact with yourself.
In the city, in the forest, anywhere.
