I know exactly what responsible looks like: write the mails, send the applications, keep pushing. And I know the other feeling too – when a branch keeps narrowing and I push anyway, because stopping would be irresponsible. It usually takes real suffering before I finally drop it. And then, reliably, embarrassingly soon after: a door.

This letter explains the pattern from the other side: control simply doesn't work here – it is taken from us, every form of it. "Fear and Control" maps that vicious circle; "Choose Again" practiced the release when something had already grown heavy. This letter goes one step further and asks: why learn it the hard way every time?

Read it before the next push, not after.

Dear traveler,

Which immediate next step feels good and light to you? Those are the stones you should watch for, and the ones you walk on, step by step.

You see, we take every form of control away from you. Whenever you think you have to "do" something – write mails, look for a job, and so on – you get no further. And whenever you think this branch is a dead end and LET GO, a door opens.

We cannot do it any other way – not until you internalize that you can let go from the very beginning. Do you understand? Learn to let go – without having to suffer first.

Thank you for being here.

If something in these letters stayed with you, take it along – think about it, write your own answer, or just let it sit.

And if not today, that's okay too. There's no rush.

Until next time,
– Jan
