Pain.
A reflection on suffering, transformation, and the return to love.
Some nights pain takes up the whole room. Everything in me wants it gone – explained, numbed, fixed, anything but felt. I have lain awake like that, arguing with an ache as if winning were an option.
This letter steps out of that fight. It says pain is not a detour and not a punishment – it is a companion, pointing back to what you are until you no longer need the pointing. That is the hardest edge of "Amor Fati": loving what is, even this. And still: suffering is not the price of the way.
I keep forgetting this. Read the letter slowly – and let it find you where it hurts.
Dear traveler,
You are light.
You are energy.
You are pure love.
Embodied on Earth to manifest this love through your being. You do this by following your heart, by listening, by letting go, by surrendering – and allowing this energy to flow through you, intuitively.
Fear is what keeps you from fully embodying this love. Fear stems from the ego. To overcome it means letting the ego die again and again – and trusting in love, in yourself. Completely.
It is the hardest task of all. This is what life on Earth seeks to teach us. All suffering, all despair, every pain has but one purpose: to guide you on your path back to yourself. To keep you moving when you want to give up. To bring you back when you have lost your way.
They are your companions until you find peace and clarity. Until you recognize your inner truth. Until you feel that you are pure love – and that you manifest this love into the world through your being. With humility. With devotion. With love.
In the now – embracing what is.
Thank you for being here.
If something in these letters stayed with you, take it along – think about it, write your own answer, or just let it sit.
And if not today, that's okay too. There's no rush.
Until next time,
– Jan
