The Gift.
The urge to create is neither good nor bad – it simply is; what becomes of it is your freedom to decide.
The question I put to Love that morning had an edge to it: is this inner urge authentic truth – or an escape from reality, driven by fear? I half expected to be found out.
The answer was two words: both, at the same time. The urge itself is authentic – the very first letter in this series, "Inner Urge", was about trusting it. What you do with it is another matter, and that part is not judged for you; it is handed back. Love does not judge – good and bad are our concepts, and the freedom to decide is ours too.
If you've ever suspected your own gift of being a hiding place, this letter will not settle the suspicion for you – it will give you something better.
Dear traveler,
The inner urge is authentic. What you do with it can be an escape from reality. The urge is simply there. It is right in itself – or put differently: it is neither good nor bad. It simply is. Every gift simply is – clairvoyance, channeling, and so on … It is the task of the human being to find a sustainable way of handling it. The gift itself can be destructive or useful. That depends on what you make of it. Good/bad. Destructive/useful. These are human concepts. Love does not judge. It simply is. Only in the moral and ethical compass of the human being does the question of good or bad arise. That is why it is both at the same time. So the urge is authentic. Whether you "lose yourself" in it and flee from other responsibilities is up to you. That is your freedom to decide.
