Fleeting.
On being a fleeting moment out of the stream of infinity – and on creating, releasing, and needing to do nothing more.
There are days when impermanence sits close: the plain awareness that everything I make – and I myself – will pass. I used to read that as an argument against starting at all. Why create what dissolves?
The letter turns the argument around: dissolving is not the failure of a thing, it is the completion of it. Energy flowed through it, it did its work – that is all. You are such a fleeting moment yourself, and while you are, you can pass the gift of existing onward: create, release, create again. "Surfing the Ocean of Truth" describes the same movement from the outside – waves rising from the stream of infinity, ridden, and returned to the ocean. This letter describes it from inside the wave.
It speaks with a different voice than most of the letters – not "we" but "I". It is the most tender one I have received. I'll let it speak.
Dear traveler,
My dearest friend. My child. My embodiment. My incarnation. You are I, and I am you. You long for me, and I long for you. Our longings draw us toward each other, and when they find each other and join, they can materialize. Manifest. Land on earth. Become concrete. Exist. For a fleeting moment – and then dissolve again. But they were there, energy flowed through them, and they did their work. That is all. They need to do nothing more.
You too are such a fleeting moment. You exist. You feel. You are. And then you are no more. And that is all. You need to do nothing more.
And while you are – in this fleeting moment, in your loop of time out of the stream of infinity – you can give the gift of existing as well. Through creating. Through manifestation. Out of our connection. Out of your essence. You create small loops of time out of yourself. Fleeting. You create them and let them go again at once. You need to do nothing more.
That is the course of things. They all come from me and return to me. Forget me and remember again. Remember me. Hear me within you. I am part of you. You are I. We are all I. I speak to everyone. And I speak through everyone who hears me. My language is creation. Creating. Love.
