Messages From Beyond

Caught.

In the exact moment you let go, you are caught – freedom is being fully yourself, trusting what feels right.

I know exactly which things in my life no longer feel right. That is rarely the problem. The problem is the question that starts up the second I consider dropping one of them: and then what? So I keep carrying it – the commitment, the habit, the version of myself I've outgrown – out of fear of what letting go might set loose.

The letter answers with a promise, and the promise is the whole letter: you never have to be more than yourself; what belongs to you finds you and stays exactly as long as it belongs to you; and in the exact moment you let go, you are caught. "Falling" called this falling backwards into deep trust. "Being Whole" walks the other half of it – accepting all your sides until being fully yourself is no longer a risk, but the ground you stand on.

Read it slowly. The freedom it describes doesn't wait behind some breakthrough – it starts the moment your grip opens.

Dear traveler,

You are simply you. And you never have to be more. That is all we keep reminding you of. To be entirely you. To accept all your sides, fully and completely. To live yourself. That is all. And everything that fits you, that belongs to you and belongs to your way, finds you and stays for as long as it belongs to you. And everything else you can let go of immediately. In this being fully and completely yourself, you find the trust that you are taken care of. That what is right also feels right. And with that you can let go of everything that does not feel good – no matter how much fear you have of what might happen then. In the exact same moment you let go, you are caught. Do you remember?

This realization means true freedom. Not having to please anyone. Not having to make it right for anyone. No fear of "what might happen". Freedom means being completely you and simply surrendering to what feels good. Trusting that you are taken care of. That you are in the right place at the right time. That you are right.

Thank you for being here.

If something in these letters stayed with you, take it along – think about it, write your own answer, or just let it sit.

And if not today, that's okay too. There's no rush.

Until next time,
– Jan
