Authentic.
On trust, intuition, and why what is made with love carries its worth in itself – because it wants nothing.
Most of what I make passes through a checkpoint before it reaches the world: will this land? Is it good enough? What will it look like from outside? The work starts out honest and arrives coated in wanting – approval, results, proof.
This letter is the shortest one so far, and it cuts the deepest: what is made with love is valuable in itself – because it wants nothing. Create from love, not pressure – the sentence this site keeps repeating – is here stripped to its core. "Surfing the Ocean of Truth" walks the same trust in your intuition at full length; this letter says it in four lines.
Read it twice. It's short enough.
Dear traveler,
Have trust! Trust in yourself – follow your intuition. But wholeheartedly and bravely!
And do it with love. What is made with love is valuable in itself – because it is authentic. Because it has depth. Because it is honest.
Because it wants nothing.
Thank you for being here.
If something in these letters stayed with you, take it along – think about it, write your own answer, or just let it sit.
And if not today, that's okay too. There's no rush.
Until next time,
– Jan
