Care of Souls

The Third Position.

Fatalism says nothing depends on you; hypercontrol says everything does – and between them stands cooperation with life.

Bella posted this one minute after her map of the three states – a footnote, really, and I almost read past it. Then I saw that the footnote holds the whole practice.

Two of her positions are the poles that Surrender & Decision walks between: fatalism is surrender without decision – it slips into passivity; hypercontrol is decision without surrender – it turns life into war. Her third is the balance those two miss: doing what is yours to do, and trusting what isn't. If the last post drew the map, this one names the practice.

Five lines, and the whole of it. Here they are.

There are three positions people usually retreat into:

1. Rigid fatalism – everything is preordained, nothing depends on me.
2. Hypercontrol – everything depends on me alone, and if something goes wrong, it's my fault.
3. Cooperation with life – I do my part, but I understand that not everything is in my power.

Trust (5D), in fact, is the third.

Thank you for reading.

If her words reached somewhere mine don't – good. That's what this blog is for. Take what fits and leave the rest.
