The job interview was never the goal; the house was. On asking for the end, not the path – and not trimming the wish.

Under the job sits the house; under the house, maybe simply a life that is covered. Her unwinding question does the work: I want this – and why do I want it? My husband taught me another interesting thought: you should ask not for the path to the goal, but for the end goal itself.
For example: yesterday you had an interview at Yandex. You really want them to take you.
But why do you want that job? To buy a house.
So it turns out your real goal isn't the job at Yandex at all – it's the house.
So ask for the house. 🤗
And by what route the universe decides to bring you to it – forgive me, but that's her problem 🤭
Maybe through that job.
Or maybe through an opportunity you don't even know about yet.
And you can unwind practically any wish this way:
"I want this. And why do I want it?"
Until you get down to what you actually want.
And if the end goal really is a job – wonderful. Then don't ask for just "a job".
What kind?
Maybe you want to work two days a week, do what you love, and earn enough for it to cover your whole life.
Then ask for exactly that.
Don't trim your wish down in advance to what seems "realistic" to you.
Want a house – ask for the house.
Don't ask the universe for an interview. 💛
